Hardy Boys Case Files: 6-11 (Boxed Set, 2)
Published in Paperback by Simon Pulse (November, 1988)
Average review score:

Five StarsThese books are some of the best of the series. Number six, The Crowning Terror, a young woman named Charity complicates the case. Number seven, Deathgame, is a must read book. It involves physical and mental capabilities, perfect for the genius and athlete. Number eight is the first where Callie tries to become involved in cases and ends up getting more than she hoped for. Number nine, The Genius Thieves, had an excellent plot and exciting scenes. Next, Hostages of Hate, involves terrorists, a hijacked plane and Callie, who is being held on it. Brother against Brother, one of my personal favorites, is about Joe and his lost memory. Will he realize that Frank's not a hit man or will he discover that in time? Read all these books and see for yourself!

Harry S. Truman and the News Media: Contentious Relations, Belated Respect
Published in Hardcover by Univ of Missouri Pr (Txt) (July, 1998)
Average review score:

A bonus for presidential studies.Franklin D. Mitchell has written an extensive portrayal of the pugnacious relationship between President Harry Truman and the news media. Truman liked the media, especially when it provided the public with images that displayed his down-to-earth personality. But the president often lost his temper when the media became critical of his family, friends, and his domestic policies.
Mitchell recounts how the media played an important role during the Truman years between 1945-1953. He provides the reader with a chronological narrative in history. Mitchell reviews the 1948 election that resulted in the greatest presidential miscall in journalistic history. He also touches base with the rise of women and minorities in the media, and how the newsreel and photojournalism contributed to the Truman presidency.
The book is interesting and extensively detailed. Highly recommended for anyone interested in Harry Truman or political/presidential studies.

The Hawk and the Dove
Published in Paperback by Bantam Books (January, 1985)
Average review score:

Storyline ....Since Amazon didn't post an editorial review, here's the description from the back of the book to help you decide if this book is for you: "THE HAWK. Wild and free, the sole survivor of a brutal massacre, John Cooper Baines lives by his wits as he treks across the unclaimed wilderness. Brought to manhood in an indian village, he moves on to New Mexico -- a turbulent land ravaged by bandits and stamped by the legacy of aristocratic Spain. AND THE DOVE. Headstrong and beautiful, the daughter of an exiled Spanish nobleman, Catarina is torn by warring passions, haunted by a vibrant dream. Only a man who can tame the savage land can subdue her defiant heart. Together they will live the glorious beginnings of a dynasty as proud as royal Spain, as reckless and bold as frontier America."

Hell Hole
Published in Paperback by 1stBooks Library (August, 2001)
Average review score:

Hell HoleI have read all three of the Author's books. The Deal Makers, The Cesspool, and now Hell Hole. The Author reached back to the beginning of his horrendous ordeal and shocked me with the truth that goes on behind closed doors, and out of the public view. He further enlightened me to all the shocking truth about Courts, both state and federal. I wish him all the luck in the world on his appeal to the appellate court. Hopefully he will win there and eventually make all those that wrongfully punished him pay for their crimes against him.

It is the BIBLE of the Cardiovascular TechsI have been in the field of Cardiovascular Technology over 33 years, and never came across a book so simple and easy to understand about heamodynmic calculations. Now a days people depend on computer calculations, but it is not perfect. This book gives you the basic and if computers go wrong you will never know unless you know the basic. For any student or professional I strongly advice to have this book. DON LADKIN CARDIOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGIST. UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL P.O.Box 2529. RIYADH 11461. Saudi Arabia

Herb Craft: A Guide to the Shamanic and Ritual Use of Herbs
Published in Paperback by Chieveley Berkshire (01 December, 1995)
Average review score:

Real Herb MagicThere are hundreds of herbs in this massive 600 page guide to the magical use of herbs. The book covers lore, history, healing, lore, folk uses, shamanic and ritual uses. It states that most magical herbals contain mere shadows of the real magic of herbs and sets out to give us some of that real magical lore. In addition there are chapters of using herbs for healing, preparing herbal remedies, making incenses (with recipes, herbal dyes, making herbal paper etc. I would say that if you can only buy one herbal, buy this one, because it will tell you more than twenty others.
